Natural Healing For All Creatures Great and Small
There are times when we have to give assistance to all living creatures. We need to be prepared for that time so that when given the opportunity to help, we are ready. For me it started when I was 6 years old, and the birds would get stuck in the feeder. I would carefully take them out and tend to them with my little emercency kit, and then release them. It then progressed to larger projects, like orphaned baby squirrels, baby rabbits, etc. I was always running to help the sick and injured animals. I went on to do my own atopsies on sucpicious farm animal deaths. Pulling calves, tube feeding, stitching wounds, splinting broken legs on horses, calves, lambs, etc. Treating pneumonia, in horses, colic, abcesses in the hoof, gun shot wounds in my dogs. sometimes it meant mouth to mouth on a slimy little newborn. I learned quickly ( we did not have access to a vet ), from reading books and following my intuition.i Loved it. And so today I want to share with you what I have learned.

Horses
TIPS:
* Horses love energy work. It is very good to use energy on a horse who has been abused or hurt. Combining oils with the energy if you are able to get close to the horse is a the best. If not use your imagination. For example, place a drop of the oil onto the pail where you feed him his oats, he will get the full benefit of the smell as he eats his oats. Genius!!!!
* If you are not sure which method or treatment to use try one at a time till you find the one that works the best, or sometimes 2 may work better together. Talk to someone who knows everything about the treatment you are considering to see if it would be right for your horse.
* DO NOT GIVE UP. Do not give up on the natural healing methods, because just when you think its getting worse it could actually be what we call a natural healing crisis. If you are not sure if that is what it is ask a proffesional.
* COLIC ---- Rub the pressure point on top of the head between the ears, and feed him a handful fresh or dried chammomile herb. Walk him till he releases gas or has a Bowel Movement.
* INJURIES ---- If your horse has injured himself, and you need to get to the wound, but he wont let you, I use Rescue Remedy, Bach Flower. Then give it a few minutes before using Peace and Calming Essential oil. I found that using Homeopathic remedies for the more acute problems and for controling pain was the best.

Dogs & Cats
TIPS:
* Dogs, and Cats, can be very sensitive to pressure or intense energy, so work carefully and avoid sudden movements.
* Once they know you are not going to hurt them they will be putty in your hands.
* When Introducing an oil just wave it by their nose, as they have a very sensitive nose, and even if they like the smell they may run from it, if its to strong. Get someone to help hold them, if it requires.
* When a dog is fighting an infection, often times they will go right off of food. It is natures way of helping the body put all the otise onto fighting the infection instead of digesting food. Just make sure that they have water to drink.
* A good way to help them fight infection is to give them a clove of garlic ( big dogs ), Half a clove ( little dogs, and cats ) in some food that you know they love ( to mask the smell of garlic ). Do this for a few days and then stop for a day or two. If the infection persists, do the garlic again. Continue this a few times.
*Remember always consult a professional if you are not sure what is wrong.

Wild Animals
TIPS:
* No Matter what kind of animal it is, you can send it positive healing energy.
* I try to use a calming oil on myself to calm the animal if it is struggling. Putting it on them can be to traumatic sometimes, so then wearing it, they will be able to smell it.
* Try to work quickly but quietly, moving smoothly, no sudden movements.
* Keep it in captivity only, and only, if necessary to heal it well enough that it can survive in the wild again.
* Call a Wildlife Expert if you find an injured animal
